These pretty Christmas Twig Trees are a surprisingly easy Christmas craft to make, and are perfect to make with younger children as well. It also involves a little fresh air first as you will need to go and collect some twigs beforehand.
What you’ll need:
- PVA glue
- Lollipop stick
Step One: To start your Christmas craft, use the secateurs to trim the twigs *GROWN UPS ONLY*. The longest piece should be around 9cm long, and you want around 8 pieces, getting smaller in size.
Step Two: Next, take the lollipop stick and run some PVA glue all the way down it leaving about 1cm clear at the bottom.
Step Three: Arrange the sticks on the lollipop stick with the largest at the bottom (leaving the 1cm gap at the bottom of the stick clear) going up in a tree shape. I find it looks best leaving a little gap between each twig. Your Christmas craft is beginning to take shape!
Step Four: Once in place, pour some glue all over the twigs (make sure you have paper down!) and sprinkle on the sequins! We also put a Pom Pom at the top. Leave to dry.
Step Five: Once dried (I waited until the next day) put a small amount of PVA glue on the top underside of the lollipop stick. Attach a small ribbon to hang on the tree. Leave to dry.
